Peer Review Process
Noumena in Law Journal will conduct a selection and assessment process for the papers submitted to the editor to ensure compliance with the specified criteria for both the style and writing guidelines, focus, and scope, and excellent academic quality. Manuscripts are reviewed using the double blind peer review method, and it is ensured that there is no relationship between the author and the peer reviewer;
Desk Review.
Manuscripts that have met the criteria and if there are any discrepancies, the editor gives the author the opportunity to improve them according to the criteria, or reject the manuscript.
Peer review.
Manuscripts that have passed the desk review will be submitted to two reviewers who have expertise in the paper. The reviewer will review the work for two weeks. Manuscripts that do not pass the desk review will not proceed to this stage.
Reviewer's decision.
The reviewer will provide the following recommendations:
Accepted; means the manuscript can be accepted for publication
Accepted with minor revisions; means the manuscript can be accepted for publication after being revised in response to the reviewer's concerns
Accepted with major revisions; means substantive deficiencies in the manuscript, such as data analysis, the main theory used, and rewriting of paragraphs, need to be revised
Rejected; means the manuscript cannot be accepted for publication or the review given is related to a very fundamental issue
The reviewer's decision will be considered by the Editorial Board to determine the next process of the manuscript.
Revision Stage.
After the manuscript is accepted with a minor or major revision notation, the manuscript will be returned to the author with a review summary form. For manuscripts accepted with major revisions, the author is given 3 weeks to revise. While for manuscripts accepted with minor revisions, 1 week is given for revision. When returning the revised manuscript, the author is required to fill out and attach a review summary form.
Final decision.
At this stage, the manuscript will be re-evaluated by the Editorial Board to ensure that the author has made revisions in response to the reviewers' complaints. In this final decision, the manuscript can still be rejected if the author does not make the necessary revisions seriously.
Correction. After the manuscript is considered acceptable by the Editorial Board, the manuscript will undergo a correction process to maintain the quality of the language.
Confirmation of publication.
The Editor will notify and confirm the acceptance of the manuscript from the author and return the manuscript in accordance with the final layout to ensure that the content is in accordance with the writing and free from typographical errors. After confirmation from the author is given, the Editorial Secretary will process the manuscript for online publication on the website or print publication.
